Moscow hosts its' first UEFA Champions League final in May, and to commemorate the occasion adidas have unveiled the matchball to be used - the adidas Finale Moscow. With two of Europe's biggest football clubs taking part the Luzhniki Stadium will be the first venue to feature the official match ball.
Like it's predecessors, the design of the Finale Moscow ball features the Champions League star emblems and take inspiration from the colours of Moscow's Red Square, the Kremlin and the golden domes of numerous catherdrals that make up the city's skyline. The dark red stars feature intricate gold detail symbolising the host city, much like the Finale Athens edition which was used in the 2007 Champions League final between Liverpool and AC Milan. See and read more about the adidas Finale Moscow football at Pro Direct Soccer.
Match Ball Technology Building on adidas' learnings, developments and research the Finale Moscow football benefits from the same technology as the official Euro 2008 matchball. The new surface structure allows players to control and direct the ball with greater accuracy and precision in all pitch conditions.
