Lotto Stadio Potenza Luca Toni 300 - Red War/Yellow Saphire

Handcrafted in Montebelluna with only 49 pairs exclusively available for retail at Pro:Direct Soccer, the “Toni 300” from Lotto pays homage to the three hundred goals in the career of Luca Toni.
Wherever he has played, Luca Toni has always done one thing: score goals in abundance. From his burgeoning days in the Italian Serie B and Serie C1 Toni’s ability was apparent, but it wasn’t until his move to Palermo in 2003 that the world really took note. Smashing in 50 goals in 80 appearances, Toni helped fire the Rosanero back to Serie A for the first time in 30 years and then, in the following season, to their first ever qualification for the UEFA Cup.

This habit of scoring goals led to a move to Fiorentina and it was here that Luca Toni became the first Italian ever to win the European Golden Shoe in 2006 for his 31 goals in the season.

2006 proved to be an amazing year for Toni as he was a key figure in the Italian World Cup winning side and, for his performances, he was named in the Team of the Tournament. From here on out the sky was the limit for the powerful striker from the town of Pavullo nel Frignano in the small province of Modena.

A successful spell at Bayern Munich followed in which Toni finished the 2007-08 season as the Bundesliga top scorer with 24 goals.

Stints at Roma, Juventus, and again at Fiorentina showed that Toni would always provide a team with goals.

Still plying his trade today with Verona, Luca Toni celebrated his 300th career goal in December 2014. “It was certainly the perfect day for me,” Toni said.

“Every goal has its special flavour, from those with Modena in Serie C to the World Cup strikes or those in Germany. I can’t choose my favourite. This achievement gives me great joy.”

In honour of this magnificent feat, Lotto has created an extremely limited release boot; the Toni 300.

Taking the Potenza Luca Toni 10+ and giving it a radical new colourway, the boot has a lightweight outsole which features ReactiveArch technology that ensures maximum cushioning at impact, and stability when planting the foot. With “Luca” emblazoned a

Lotto

Founded in 1973 in the famous shoemaking district of Montebelluna, Lotto were a big part of the Italian bootmaking boom of the 80s and 90s, when their traditional leather boots were worn by the stars of Serie A and style connoisseurs across Europe.

Their flagship boot during that time was the iconic Stadio, as seen on the feet of the likes of Shevchenko, Hagi, Cafu, Seedorf, and, to particular fanfare during his Lazio spell, Paul Gascoigne. The Stadio remains available today, complete with its classic foldover tongue and plush K-leather upper. And it still looks absolutely class.

Lotto were also responsible for one of the first laceless boots ever made, the Zhero Gravity back in 2006, and that same pioneering spirit lives on in their modern boots. Their speed-focused silo, the Solista, is a next-gen marvel, while their playmakers’ boot, the Maestro, is as comfortable as it gets.

Ground Type Guide

Selecting the correct sole plate for the surface you are playing on is crucial, not only for the performance and longevity of your football boots, but also to avoid the risk of injury.

Using an outsole that isn't designed specifically for the surface on which you are playing may cause premature wear and/or damage that will not be deemed as a fault of manufacture and will prevent the retailer accepting them for a refund or exchange.

Firm Ground

Boots with Firm Ground soleplates are only to be used on natural short-grass surfaces that is firm underfoot but may be slightly wet.

Designed specifically for this playing surface, they offer acceleration, comfort and enhanced traction, dispersing stud pressure evenly across the foot.

FG soleplates are fixed (not removable) and are used worldwide; wetter countries tend to use them spring to autumn.

FG boots are not to be used on artificial ground (AG) surfaces as the construction is not designed for the extra friction.

FG boots used on AG surfaces will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.
